Juneau Assembly Passes Ordinance Protecting Everyone from Discrimination

The Juneau Assembly passed a fully-inclusive non-discrimination ordinance by a vote of 8-1, making Juneau only the second Alaskan city where all people are protected against unfair and unequal treatment.

ACLU Celebrates Bethel Non-Discrimination Ordinances

On the evening of Tuesday, November 10, 2015, the City of Bethel unanimously passed two laws, Bethel Ordinances #15-33 and #15-34, to protect all city employees and contractors, including those who are gay or transgender, from discrimination. All 7 council members said that the people of Bethel deserve the best people working for them and that no one should lose their job simply based on who they are or whom they love.
