In celebration of the freedom to read, Out North, the Alaska Bookmobile, the ACLU of Alaska, and local bookstores are coming together for the fourth annual unAUTHORized series - a project highlighting banned and challenged books.

October 4th the Alaska Bookmobile is being transformed into a Banned Bookmobile and mobile recording studio in celebration of Banned Books Week 2023! We will be at Black Birch Books in Wasilla on Wednesday October 4th to take part in this celebration of intellectual freedom.

You're invited to hop on board the Bookmobile and read your favorite banned or challenged book out loud! Readings will also be recorded and played over the radio on KONR-LP 106.1 FM (Out North Radio)!
