The Japanese American Citizens League Alaska Chapter, with AUUF and ACLU of Alaska, will host a meet-and-greet and presentation with Sam Mihara on Friday, October 9 at 6:30 PM.

After Pearl Harbor, 9-year-old Sam Mihara and his family were forced from their San Francisco home into a desolate Wyoming prison camp. They were among 120,000 Japanese Americans imprisoned by the US government. Sam describes his three years behind barbed wire. He shares photos from famed photographer Dorothea Lange and his family archive. His purpose: to see it never happen again.
