The ACLU of Alaska is hosting an Employment Authorization clinic on December 12, 2024 at the Mountain View Public LIbrary.

If you are an asylum seeker whose asylum application (I-589) has been pending for more than 150 days, you are eligible to request a work permit. In order to be eligible for this clinic, you must have the following:

1. Copy of a photo ID (passport, driver’s license, etc.).
2. Proof that you have submitted your asylum application (I-589).
3. 2 passport style photos.
4. NO criminal record.
