During the height of World War II, the ACLU represented Japanese-American Gordon Hirabayashi after he refused to report to an internment camp in a case that went all the way to the Supreme Court.
When Gordon Hirabayashi was a young man in 1943, Japanese-Americans were perceived as a threat based on their racial heritage and were forcibly required to move into internment camps.
October 24th is the first day of early-voting for the 2016 election in Alaska, and we're celebrating the right (and duty) to vote all day.
