Join the ACLU of Alaska and Anchorage Housing Club for a "Know Your Rights" training on housing rights for tenants on Tuesday, December 9th at 6 PM at the Alaska Public Interest Group's office in Anchorage (2522 Arctic Blvd).
This training will cover topics surrounding fair housing rights, rules around evictions and required notice, protections against landlord retaliation, how to request repairs and maintain documentation, and what to do if a landlord enters a unit unlawfully. We will also explain resources available to tenants facing discrimination, unsafe living conditions, harassment, and outline steps for seeking legal support when rights are violated. This event is free and open to the public.
