In August 2018, the ACLU of Alaska sent each of the candidates for state house, state senate, and governor a 12-question survey on civil liberty issues and a 5-question survey on justice issues, inviting them to state their personal views on a range of issues ahead of this year’s elections, including REAL ID, civil asset forfeiture, reproductive rights, LGBT rights, and criminal justice reform.

We have received the candidates' responses and posted them word-for-word at the links below.

The ACLU of Alaska does not endorse candidates for elected or appointed office. These surveys are only intended to provide voters with information about the positions of candidates on issues our members care deeply about.
