Access to contraception is critical to an individual’s autonomy, equality, and ability to participate in the social, economic, and political life. SB 53, sponsored by Senator Berta Gardner (D-Anchorage), and its House counterpart HB 25, sponsored by Representative Matt Claman (D-Anchorage), would ensure that insurance companies provide coverage for birth control for one year at a time.
