SB 46 would require that the state of Alaska establish a database to collect information on how law enforcement officers – including police, correctional, parole, and probation officers - use force. This and other provisions of SB 46 would help increase transparency in how law enforcement officers across Alaska use force, including excessive use of force, and help deliver accountability for harmful officer conduct.
