SB 192, sponsored by Senator Anna MacKinnon (R-Eagle River) strengthens the privacy rights of Alaskan voters. Currently, information collected when a person registers to vote is compiled in a database and made available for any interested party to purchase. SB 192 provides voters with an opt-out provision if they would like their physical and mailing addresses to be confidential and not available for purchase.
