HB 103 would bring Alaska into compliance with a federal rule designed to promote community integration for people with disabilities. The rule requires that every state ensure that services delivered to seniors and people with disabilities living in the community meet minimum standards for integration, access to community life, choice, autonomy, and other important consumer protections. HB 103 would ensure that all assisted living facilities in Alaska meet these minimum standards, so that residents are living in conditions that uphold their dignity and autonomy.
