Since 2011, this free, drop-in legal clinic has served hundreds of Alaska Natives with their civil legal questions. Volunteer attorneys from the ACLU of Alaska and partner organizations will provide free 30-minute consultations on issues such as:
- Family law (divorce, custody, adoption, guardianship)
- Public benefits (Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP)
- Housing & land (rental issues, foreclosure, allotments)
- Advice for tribes (ICWA, tribal justice)
- Probate, employment, and other civil legal issues
No appointment is required, but space is limited—early arrival is encouraged.
This event is hosted in collaboration with Alaska Bar’s Alaska Native Law Section, Alaska Legal Services Corporation, Alaska Native Justice Center, with in-kind support from the Alaska Federation of Natives.
